Ron's 1982 Harley Davidson Sportster

Ron's 1982 Harley Davidson Sportster

Hi, my name is Ron otherwise known as Deuce. I picked up this jewel in the rough ( and I do mean ROUGH ) a couple days ago. Its a 1982 anniversary edition Sporty. Its bone stock except for the sissy bar/luggage rack. Even the license plate bolts are the originals that came on the bike at the time of delivery. The only original part that's missing is the front fender emblem and its in the mail as we speak. I've been itching to do a mild custom on her but on the other hand I want to get it into showroom condition. As it stands now, its got a little rust on just about everything, it pops spits and snorts, and the rocker boxes leak oil ( I'm sorry, ooze personality ) but its got plenty of get up and go. In case you are wondering, the reason the pictures are so far away is 1) my camera sucks, and 2) id rather not scare anyone. I will keep pictures updated as I get into the project. Thanks Duece ~~~ Ron

Here are a couple more pictures of my scoot in the middle of the customizing process. The seat is off a 2001 1200 custom, handlebars from a 2000 883 custom, the highway pegs are made up if base plates from a aftermarket 82 set with adjustable legs from a late 90s model and the pegs themselves are ISO Kury Aykyn stirrups, I've added a headlamp nacell, chrome visors for the tail and head lamp, new grips, and pegs, and a couple other things. More to come.
