Here is my 1978 Sportster in England just north of London. It was imported from USA in 1992 and I bought it two years ago. When I got it it had solid rods in place of rear suspension, high bars and a fat tire that did not fit the fender! Now I have put progressive units on and an Avon Venom X tire and she goes round the bends like a train on rails. Next job is a bigger gas tank and paint job. Black with cream panels and red and gold lining, I think (I can't get the classic Britbike out of the system completely!). I'll post new pictures when its done.
She's Done!
Four years on from the earlier pictures, I have finally finished the new look for my 78 XLH. Quieter and prettier and running well.
