Roy's 1976 Harley Davidson Sportster

Roy's Red 1976 Harley Davidson Sportster

I built this from the ground up! Powder coated the frame, made a new wiring harness, and put a 1983 FXWG dual disk front end up front with dual headlights. It has hand controls from a 1985 model with the wires run through the bars which are 86 Heritage Softail models. The Fat Bob tanks are from a 1976 FLH with the Cateye dash and ignition. The seat is a Corbin. The engine has stock cases and flywheels but has been bored .040 with 9:1 compression. The heads have new valves, springs, and have been resurfaced. The cams are "y" series and the carb is a S&S Super E with a Hypercharger Air Cleaner. It has a Dyna 2000 single fire ignition, coils, and a Barnette clutch. We have converted it to take "Chrome Horse" forward controls and converted the rear drum to a 11" disk. The bobbed rear fender is from J&P and the twisted spoke wheels are from V-Twin. All the hoses and cabled are braided. All and I mean ALL bolts are acorn. Last but not least, the paint was done by a local guy named Bill Orentas. There are 2 sets of flames on the bike. One ghost and the other is done with flip/flop paint. They are very hard to see...
