Started complete rebuild mid-summer of '98, had it back on the road in the spring of '99. The frame and front end are stock '73 XLCH, most everything else was rebuilt or replaced down to the fasteners. The motor is basically stock 1000cc Ironhead, bored .030 over, Mikuni 38mm Round-Slide carb, new bottom-end and transmission. Gas tank, fenders and front caliper are black paint, the rest is black powder-coat. Avon AM20 and AM21 tires, 19" front, 16" rear. Two local show entrys - two first-place trophies (one for "stock XL", one for "custom XL").
