This is my 1962 XLCH I bought 20 years ago. I was looking through the Penny Pincher local edition for Atlanta, Ga. searching for body parts for this 67 Cougar I was fixing at the time when I ran across this ad that listed one 1962 XLCH for $ 800.00. Well I started thinking about how I use to go down to the Harley Shop when I was 14 back in 1962 and stand there saying one day I'm going to get one of those. Anyway to make it brief I said screw the Cougar and bought an XLCH. She's been restored back to original, parts coming from here and there. Being an over the road truck driver gave me plenty of opportunity to get parts. I just finished rebuilding theupperend. I bought some stock bore cylinders from IHTom and Tom redid the heads and now I'm set for the winter. Actually here in Northwest Florida the winter is the best time to ride. It's not real cold most of the tourist are gone. Believe or not it's to hot in the summer to be riding in beach traffic with an air cooled Ironhead. Thanks, Bob Spikes
